Ballot count numbers as Glasson finally concedes he lost the 2014 Griffith By-election

Two-time loser Bill Glasson concedes defeat on 11 February 2014:

“I congratulate Ms Butler on her victory, and wish her well as she takes on the responsibility of representing the people of Griffith in Federal Parliament,” Dr Glasson said in a statement released Tuesday afternoon.

“I would also like to thank my community for their patience and all their support during last year’s general election and the byelection.

“I have been campaigning nearly full time for the past 14 months and have enjoyed every minute of it. It has been a privilege being able to speak to so many people in my community during that time.

“I have now returned to my medical practice and will continue working with disadvantaged people in remote Queensland and overseas.”
