John Howard reaps personal benefit from new tax cut policy
News.com.au reported this morning that the National Tax and Accountants Association has calculated that if he stays on as Prime Minister John Howard would take home an additional $10,560 as a result of his recently announced tax package. A tax savings of $203 a week.
Now that's what I call blindly redistributing the national wealth.

I came up with a slightly higher benefit for the PM when I did some quick calculations yesterday - I think the NTAA left out one of his allowances. I also did some comparison with average wage earners etc. The benefits are massively skewed to high incomes.
