I would add that I don't have to listen to Jones' radio program to be offended by what he said at the Liberal Party dinner - and to be offended by his sham of an apology.

Alan Jones is offensive. He likes to offend. He thrives on it. I can try to avoid him, but he shouts his insults from the rooftops and they are splashed all over the media. I'd have to be a hermit to avoid his offensive rubbish.

I'm sure that very few of his regular listeners are offended by his lies and insults. Clearly Simon Berger wasn't offended by the chaff bag comment - he supported it sufficiently to offer a chaff bag jacket as an auction item at the dinner. That act rendered him useless as Woolworths Community and Government Liaison Manager and he resigned on Friday.
