Over a
two week period from 12 September 2017 an Australian Marriage Law Survey
Form will be sent by post to every Australian registered to vote. It will be
sent to the address given on the Commonwealth Electoral Roll.
This voluntary
survey form needs to be returned before 6pm on 27 October 2017. If it is received by the Australian Bureau of Statistics after the deadline it will not be counted.
The
survey form asks one straightforward question: “Should the law be changed to allow same-sex
couples to marry?”
