I might take Ian MacFarlane’s indignation a little more seriously - if his Statement of Members' Interests didn't show him accepting air flights and/or hospitality from mining groups, Chevron Australia, Beach Energy and EDI Downer.
Of course he's not alone in accepting the perks of industry lobbying.

I have no financial interest in the mining industry and I still agree with him on this matter. There are many legitimate concerns about the Coal Seam Gas industry but they have now been overwhelmed by scientific inaccuracy, emotional responses and ignorant statements. It is now impossible to have a rational debate.
