The NSW Northern Rivers region's anger at Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison is not going away

Byron Bay Shire resident, singer-songwriter Tex Perkins, performed at Sydney's New Year's Eve open-air event bringing in 2020.

Millions of people across the country and around the world saw his performance during the ABC TV live broadcast.

Tex dedicated the song The Honeymoon is Over to Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

Immediately and very publicly flipping him the bird while roughly facing Kirribilli House where the prime minister and his selected guests had gathered to watch the fireworks.

News Corp's main online media site reported on 1 January 2020:

He was hammering home his disgust at the PM’s alleged lack of action on climate change and leadership as wildfires lash large parts of the country

The jubilant crowd’s reaction would be painful enough, but Perkins’ aptly chosen song “The Honeymoon Is Over”, which he released as a member of the band The Cruel Sea, features on Mr Morrison’s Spotify playlist titled “How good is Oz Rock! (ScoMo’s Classics)”

NSW Shooters and Fishers Party brags online about weakening state gun laws

The NSW Shooters and Fishers Party intends to contest the 2015 state elections.

This is the damage this fringe group has done so far:

* The introduction of a new management plan for a NSW Marine Estate
* The Game Council of NSW now has access to over 4 million acres across the State
* Introduced legislation to make "Try Shooting" easier for everyone
* Changed the rules regarding purchase of a second firearm
* Shooting clubs have received $6.5 million under the MACOSC Grants Scheme
* Introduced a moratorium on the creation and expansion of Marine Parks until an independent scientific review is completed
* We will negotiate further amendments to the Firearms Act to remove unnecessary red tape
* Expand the successful Game Council Feral Animal Control Program to National Parks
and more

This is the damage the party intends if its sitting members are re-elected in 2015:

* Ensure the NSW Department of Education and Training recognise Shooting and Fishing as
'appropriate' cultural activities and sports for all public schools.

* Re-assign the compliance and enforcement functions for animal welfare matters from charitable
organisations to a relevant Government agency.

* We will respect the cultural activities of Hunting and Fishing by having them enshrined in NSW
Law. We will propose a Bill that will recognise the fundamental importance of these activities to
the well being of our society.

* We will oppose all government legislation that seeks to support the removal of the significant
social advantages that cheap coal offers NSW.

* We will propose a Bill to abolish Ethics classes in NSW public schools.

* We will support moves to remove the trial Homophobia education program being run in the NSW
schools.

* We will move to review Department of Education procedures for staff acquisition and curriculum
setting.

Coal seam gas industry's one man PR team

Adrian Nygaard aka Sealbasher & Rigpig

This Big Oil PR dynamo into red cars, guns and huntin’ gets a guernsey in The Daily Examiner on the 18th June 2012:
“HE'S not terribly worried about a locked gate - Adrian Nygaard has a gun.
At least that's what you might think if you'd been following some of Mr Nygaard's Facebook activity of late.
Mr Nygaard, who also goes by the name Seal Basher, has taken to the social network in support of the coal seam gas industry and has branded those opposed to the industry as brain dead oxygen thieves.
Alongside a photo of himself with a pistol aimed to the side of camera, Mr Nygaard wrote on Sunday: "You picked the wrong people to go to war with!!! LMFAO (laugh my f'ing a-off)".”
Having since pulled both the photo and the Coal Seam Gas Drilling Support page from Facebook, Adrian blames CSG protesters for causing him stress. But I have to wonder if what really made him fold the tent and slink away was this Facebook graph showing a growing lack of interest in what he and his mates had to say:

All we’re left with are little nuggets like this on his personal page:
August 15, 2010
Thank God for wars, arms build ups, industrial nations, planes trains and big ass automobiles. I love our hydrocarbon sucking world, it keeps my beloved oil and gas drilling industry going, and when our rigs are drilling, my garage gets more and more toys parked in it!! THANK YOU OIL BURNIN WORLD!! THANK YOU!

MeadowLea and The Case of the Missing Non-GM Oils

Snapshot from MeadowLea About Our Products Ingredients, 26 July 2011

MeadowLea promotes its margarines as Non GM on the outside of its tubs.

However, on the base of the these same tubs a question arises as to the legitimacy of this claim.

Firstly, only the canola seed is claimed to be Non-Genetically Modified on the tub bases.

Secondly, on the bottom of Salt Reduced and Extra Light tubs, I've noticed the claim only covers part of Vegetable Oils 65% (Containing 52% Canola & Sunflower Oils) and Vegetable Oil 31% (Containing 26% Canola & Sunflower Oil) respectively.

So what is the nature of the remainder of the vegetable oil (13% and 5% in the examples quoted) called plant & seed oils on its website and hidden within the term Vegetable Oil(s) on its tubs.

Could it possibly be from plant material that cannot be guaranteed as Non-GM?
Hhmmmm.....

Bolta the Unbelievable

This was Teh Bolta on the 23rd July 2011 before the first of many judicious post updates:

“Once the identity of the attackers becomes known, the consequences for Norway’s immigration policies could be profound:

A BOMBING and a separate shooting in Oslo, which appear to have targeted Norway’s prime minister and have left at least 11 people dead, are believed to be linked, police say.
Police say seven people have been confirmed dead following a bomb blast outside prime minister Jens Stoltenberg’s office in Oslo.

Acting Police Chief Sveinung Sponheim told broadcaster NRK that investigators suspect today’s bombing was linked to a shooting spree that killed four people at the Labor Party’s youth camp later in the day by a gunman in a police uniform.

The bomb left seven people dead and another 15 injured, two seriously, police said.

Already the unconfirmed reports suggest our immediate suspicions are correct, although the shooter’s appearance tells us to still be cautious about our conclusions:

Abu Suleiman al-Nasser, an Islamist with links to Al-Qaeda and other Islamic extremist groups, has claimed responsibility for today’s bomb in Oslo…

The fourth update by Bolta to the original post:

“He claims to be a Christian.”

And this was the same eejit Murdoch journalist four days later:

“HEAR that gloating sound, among the sobs for the 76 people murdered last week by Anders Behring Breivik?

Hear that cackling among the moans?

It’s Leftist polemicists, gleeful that the Norwegian murderer was a “far-Right Christian”.

How often you’ve been reminded.

One ABC news story filed on Sunday mentioned three times that Breivik was a “Christian”…”

So it’s alright for Bolta to quickly publish his erroneous suspicion that the acts of terrorism in Norway were the work of Islamic extremists, then to later mention the declared religious allegiance of the actual perpetrator – but it’s hands off the news story completely if you're not prepared to bash Teh Big Bad Left along with with him?

Have Lleyton and Bec sold the naming rights of their third born?

Want to know the name of LLeyton and Bec Hewitt's Number 3?
That's easy, peasy and will only cost a measly two bucks.
Using a premium (yes! that's what it's called, I kid you not) SMS service called ''Text A Star'' sports fans and other assorted idiots can find out the infant's name.

 Today's Sydney Morning Herald reports:

Fans who want to find out the baby's name have to subscribe to a premium SMS service called ''Text A Star''.

The service, which costs $2 a message, was set up to allow sports fans to ''get a unique insight into the life of your favourite player … without any media filter'', its creators say on its website.

First came the expensive glossy magazine spreads of celebrity baby snaps sold to the highest bidder. Now we have an Australian sports star charging fans for the privilege of finding out the name of his newborn. The tennis player Lleyton Hewitt and his former actress wife Bec announced at the weekend the birth of their third child, a girl.

Hewitt posted on his website on Saturday: ''Today, Lleyton Hewitt announced via Text a Star the following: 'Bec, Mia, Cruz and I welcomed a beautiful baby girl into our family last Tuesday. Mum and baby are great! Dad, big sister and brother elated.

Obviously, Hewitt's earnings of $2.9 million in 2009 and $6.6 million in 2008 were not enough.
